The MATCO TOOLS - SmartEAR1 app is a powerful tool designed to assist service technicians in locating and diagnosing defective or worn parts in automobiles, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment. With the help of specially designed hardware kits, this app transforms your smartphone into a state-of-the-art sound and vibration detection device.
The user-friendly interface and intuitive operation make it easy for technicians to use. The app provides sound level readings, displaying average, peak, and real-time values. Users can choose between analog or digital display panels, with options for an analog meter or wave-form display, and a digital numeric or bar graph display.
In addition to sound level readings, the app allows users to manually set background sound off-setting, sample rates, and decibel off-setting. It also features a master volume control and reset/refresh buttons to reset values to default settings.
For added convenience, the app includes a user information guide with informative facts about sound perception, permissible noise level exposure, and a sound level comparison reference chart.
